Special Advisor for Education Innovation
Dr. Lee is an internationally recognized clinician educator. She was Tufts University School of Medicine’s first Dean for Educational Affairs, and later Associate Provost for Tufts University. Dr. Lee will be the Kimitaka Kaga Visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo for 2014-2015.
Dr. Lee has a particular interest in how innovations in faculty development, leadership training, integrated technology, and open access can transform professional education and global health. Under her leadership, major initiatives include Academic Leadership Development, CELT, TUSK (open source system used in 15 countries), Tufts OpenCourseWare, and USAID One Health Core Competency Development (for pandemic training in Southeast Asia and Africa).

In addition to traditional course materials such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions between students, professors, and teaching assistants (TAs).
